Comd JHC visits Task Force Jaguar

Comd JHC, AVM Dixon, recently visited his personnel at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan.

Accompanied by the Director of Helicopters (DHels), Mr Adrian Baguley and the Managing Director of Boeing Defence UK, Mr David Pitchforth, they met with the near 600 strong personnel of Task Force Jaguar and viewed their rotary assets.

Task Force Jaguar has operated in Afghanistan for over 10 years and currently operates a fleet of Chinooks, Merlins, Lynx and Apaches in support of the transition of power to the Afghanis.

AVM Dixon took the opportunity personally to address each of the detachments during his visit, praising their outstanding efforts and tenacious work over the years. He also spoke about the future post Afghanistan while taking questions from the troops.

Keen to speak to the day-to-day customers of JHC, AVM Dixon met with several EOD personnel while inspecting the helicopter detachments. He also spoke to the men and women of the MERT including the RAF Regiment gunners who provide vital cover for the team when recovering injured personnel from hostile areas.

The successful visit concluded with a meeting with the Marine Air Wing Comd and a presentation by the TH IUAS Battery.
